Privacy policy

Last updated: 29 September 2026

Twegg is an app for couples to share lists, a calendar, goals, money and memories, and to send each other notes. This policy explains what data Twegg handles, why, who else processes it, and your rights.

Who is responsible

Twegg is operated by Pauline Huber, Rue de l'Industrie 24, 1030 Bussigny, Switzerland ("we", "us"). For anything related to privacy, contact hello@twegg.app.

What we collect and why

DataWhy
Account: email address, password (stored hashed by our authentication provider), or your Apple ID sign-in To create your account, sign you in, send verification and password-reset codes
Profile: name, profile photo, who you're paired with, app settings To show you and your partner to each other and remember your preferences
Content you create: lists and tasks, calendar events, goals, memories and photos, expenses, budgets and net-worth entries, and the notes, moods and answers you send your partner This is the app's core purpose: storing it and sharing it with your partner
Phone calendar (only if you turn it on): events from the calendars you choose To import them into your shared calendar and add Twegg events to your phone. Twegg reads your phone calendar on your device; only the events it imports are stored
Subscription: whether you have Premium and your purchase history To unlock Premium. Payment itself is handled by Apple; we never see your card details
Device push token To send the notifications you've allowed (e.g. a new note, an assigned task, a reminder)

We don't use your data for advertising, we don't sell it, and we don't track you across other companies' apps or websites. Twegg contains no advertising tools. It has optional usage analytics, described below, which are off until you say yes.

Usage analytics (optional)

If you allow it (the app asks, and you can change your mind any time in Settings › Share anonymous usage data), Twegg sends anonymous usage events to PostHog so we can see which features are used and where things go wrong. Nothing is sent before you say yes.

The events are a fixed list, such as "app opened", "task completed" or "sign-up completed", with simple values like a feature type, a count or whether you have Premium. They never contain the text you write, names, photos, amounts, your email address, your IP address or device name. We don't record screen contents or use session replay, and we don't track your taps automatically. The data is processed in the EU.

End-to-end encryption

Your notes and free-typed moods, question answers, memories (names, descriptions and categories), goals (titles, descriptions and amounts), photos, and finance entries (names, amounts and categories) are end-to-end encrypted on your phone with a key that only you and your partner hold. We can't read them.

Some data isn't end-to-end encrypted, because the service needs it to work: your account and profile (email, name, profile photo), lists and tasks, calendar events, dates, currency codes, and message types and moods chosen from the app's fixed list. This data is still encrypted in transit and at rest, and only you and your partner can access it through the app.

Push notifications never contain the content of your messages or any finance data.

Most of this you can do directly in the app; otherwise email hello@twegg.app. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
